- The EDC team joined Grand Forks leaders in Bismarck for Grand Forks Day at the Capitol, meeting with local legislatures and state officials to discuss Grand Forks area projects.
- Terry Sando, UAS Sector Senior Developer, was among those presenting at UAS Industry Day, an event hosted by the ND Department of Commerce to introduce industry executives to opportunities for expansion and development in the state.
- The economic impact of research at UND in 2016 was nearly $211 million, with more than $175 million of that impact and UND and in Grand Forks County, according to the annual report provided by the office of the vice president for research and economic development. at UND.
- Keith Lund spoke with the South Forks Lions Club, sharing updates on initiatives the EDC is involved with including workforce development, housing, and infrastructure. He also discussed the importance of downtown development and the infrastructure sales tax to the region’s future growth opportunities.
