Marketing & Communications Manager

Marketing & Communications Manager

Position type: Full-time, Exempt
Pay range: $55,000 – $80,000
Location: Grand Forks, ND 

The Grand Forks Region EDC Marketing & Communications Manager is responsible for crafting written and visual communication to help advance the organization’s strategic priorities in alignment with the organizational goals of the EDC. S/he executes marketing and communications outreach and coordinates all EDC messages for internal and external audiences. S/he manages board, employee, and organizational communication materials. The Grand Forks Region Marketing & Communications Manager collaborates with team members in the development of materials supporting development in business and workforce. 

General Description of Responsibilities: 

• Provide strategic marketing and business development direction to meet objectives in support of strategic plan and ensure brand consistency
• Write and design internal and external communication materials to include marketing/advertising materials, business recruitment packages, stakeholder correspondence, website and social media content, and press releases
• Execute advertising, public relations, business development marketing, and member relations campaigns to meet organizational goals and objectives
• Maintain the organization’s digital media, including websites and social media, to ensure they are meeting current standards and frequently updated with relevant and engaging content
• Plan and promote events including annual meetings and press conferences, preparing accompanying materials including presentations, reports, signage and other event materials
• Utilize client relations management system to maintain and streamline data collection and generate reports to increase operational efficiencies
• Other duties as assigned by the President & CEO 

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in marketing or communications and a minimum of 5 years related experience
• Highly proficient operating computer software/systems including graphic design software and website management systems, Microsoft Office, client relations management systems (Salesforce experience preferred); Knowledge of HTML helpful
• Ability to analyze, problem-solve, think strategically
• Must have strong interpersonal, creative, organization and communication skills 

Final candidate will be required to pass a Background Check and Motor Vehicle Report.
