Founded in 1883, six years prior to the state itself, the University of North Dakota has been leading the pack since day one. Today, the University has established itself as a leader in a variety of disciplines including aviation, engineering, medicine, and UAS. The 13,000+ students and 250+ programs make UND truly one of a kind.
Northland is a comprehensive two-year community & technical college offering 80+ program options in high-demand fields including; aerospace, agriculture, automotive & transportation, building trades, business & marketing, education, health & human services, information technology, law & public safety, manufacturing and more. Northland also has a liberal arts & transfer program which offers students the first two years of a bachelor’s degree.
As a four-year, public university with an enrollment of more than 1,800 students (approximately 900 on campus and 900 online), UMC proudly carries on a tradition of a century of educational service to Northwestern Minnesota. Since its establishment as an institution of higher learning in 1966 and its transition to offering baccalaureate degree programs in 1993, UMC has been a small campus offering big University of Minnesota degrees. UMC provides individual attention and mentorship and offers an active, hands-on approach to teaching and learning that puts students ahead of the competition.
