- Director of UAS Development Terry Sando was part of a roundtable with gubernatorial candidate Doug Burgum focused on the region and state UAS industry and opportunities.
- Grand Sky and General Atomics reached an exciting milestone – General Atomics celebrated its first flight from Grand Sky, which was the first flight of a large unmanned sytem by a tenant of the park.
- We met with the US Economic Development Administration’s regional representative providing an update on the region’s industries including agri-business and UAS and projects including the Grand Sky development.
- Robin Hall. What an impressive addition to UND’s School of Aerospace Sciences. We attended the grand opening and look forward to additional opportunities this state-of-the-art facility will bring to attract UAS business and workforce talent for the region.
- Klaus Thiessen accompanied UND President Mark Kennedy on a tour of local businesses/EDC investors, introducing him to the area. Stops included LM Wind Power, Altru, Hugos, Alerus, Minnkota Power and North Dakota Mill & Elevator, Brady Martz, and Edgewood.
- Keith Lund was among representatives of the Grand Forks Vibrancy Downtown Committee who met with the Kilbourne Group in Fargo to learn about strategies and tools they use for downtown development.
