Kevin Hatcher has joined the Grand Forks Region Economic Development Corporation (EDC) as its Business Development Officer. Hatcher will develop and implement strategies to support primary sector business recruitment and expansion in Grand Forks County. Hatcher will work with community leaders to attract new businesses and promote an environment that supports existing businesses in the region.
“I have lived in the Grand Forks area for my entire life and believe strongly in being part of building the type of community you want to live in. I am looking forward to continuing to assist businesses with growth and creating thriving business relationships,” said Hatcher.
EDC President & CEO Keith Lund said, “We are very excited to welcome Kevin to the EDC. He is well-connected in the Grand Forks region and has exceptional business development instincts he brings to the table from prior roles.”
Hatcher comes to the EDC from East Grand Forks Water and Light department where he served as the energy and customer service specialist. As part of that role, he assisted businesses in taking advantage of financial incentive programs related to energy efficiency. Hatcher earned his MBA from Dakota Wesleyan University in Mitchell, SD. He is the current president of Greater Grand Forks Young Professional’s board of directors and also serves as the president of the East Grand Forks Rotary Club.
