FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

GRAND FORKS, N.D. – The Grand Forks Region Economic Development Corporation welcomes Grand Forks City Council President Dana Sande to its board of directors! Sande will replace Mayor Brandon Bochenski and serve as a representative for the City of Grand Forks.

“A tremendous thank you to Mayor Bochenski for his four years of service on the board,” said Keith Lund, EDC President & CEO. “We are fortunate to have a committed and strong leader for the city. We welcome City Council President Sande to the board, another great leader who is passionate about local businesses and our regional economy.”

Sande previously served on the board of directors from 2013 until 2020 when Mayor Bochenski took office. The board is comprised of eleven total members with three being appointed positions. Each appointed position represents key stakeholders: the Grand Forks Region EDC President & CEO, the City of Grand Forks Mayor or his/her designee, and the Grand Forks County Commission Chairperson or his/her designee.

The eight at-large board of director positions are elected by members in good standing to serve three-year terms, with a maximum of three consecutive terms. The full board serves as the voting body, overseeing Grand Forks Region EDC operations, providing economic development strategy for the region, and making project funding recommendations to the city’s Growth Fund and Jobs Development Authority.
