- Microsoft TechSpark announced a $100,000 grant to Grand Forks startup Evolve Analytics, now known as Airtonomy, to launch a $350,000 UAS demonstration project. EDC staff worked with Evolve Analytics and the UND Aerospace Foundation, connecting them with the JDA to apply for a $50,000 grant, which was matched by the EDC’s board of directors.
- North Dakota has established the first-ever UAS super corridor for BVLOS operations, thanks to a partnership between Grand Sky and Harris Corp.
- EDC member and client Acme Tools plans to double the size of its e-commerce division by expanding its south-end distribution center this summer.
