Three Grand Forks area leaders were recently elected to fill terms with the organization’s board of directors.
Karl Bollingberg, executive vice president at Alerus Financial, will serve a second term. Grant McGimpsey, vice president of research and economic development at the University of North Dakota, and Jonathan Holth, co-owner of The Toasted Frog restaurants were elected to their first terms at the EDC annual meeting March 30.
The 11-member board of directors provides direction for the region’s economic development strategy. Priorities identified include workforce development, entrepreneurship, strategic infrastructure, rural outreach, and business development in areas of UAS/aviation, agri-business, energy, and professional/technical services.
The Grand Forks Region EDC is a non-profit organization that leads business expansion, retention, recruitment, and workforce development initiatives to expand the economy and create new employment opportunities in the Grand Forks region.
