A June 28 ceremony officially redesignated the mission of the Grand Forks Air Force Base, granting ownership of the Global Hawk Mission and bringing our base to the forefront of military reconnaissance. The ceremony also welcomed a new base commander, Col. Cameron Pringle, and thanked outgoing Col. Ben Spencer for his service to our community.

    In related news, GK Development Group visited Grand Forks to learn more about the community in hopes of making improvements to Columbia Mall.
  5. EDC President & CEO Keith Lund presented “Demonstrating Your Value” at the Greater Grand Forks Young Professionals Lunch & Learn, focusing on his 5 principles for success: integrity, quality, responsibility, professionalism, and teamwork.
  6. St The North Dakota Department of Transportation received a Federal Aviation Administration waiver to fly drones over people. The move will help NDDOT and Northern Plains UAS Test Site create new opportunities, build the industry, and grow our economy.

  10. Cirrus Aircraft announced Zean Nielsen as its new CEO. The EDC member company employs about 250 in Grand Forks.
