The move signifies the added attention we give to workforce development as an organization and recognizes Becca for her work in driving several of our workforce pipeline programs.   • Congratulations to Grand Forks based companies Airtonomy and Mobile Recon Systems on receiving funding from the Legacy Investment for Technology (LIFT) fund as they “exemplify innovative businesses that will help solidify our state as a leader in technology.” Read more …
  • About 160 students from UND, NCTC, and UMC participated in Career Conversations. Students had the opportunity to chat with professionals from a variety of regional employers about their careers. Grand Forks Herald Story 
  • EDC President Keith Lund traveled with a Grand Forks delegation led by Mayor Mike Brown to 16th Air Force at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio. While there, Gen Timothy Haugh briefed the group on how the United States Air Force defends the country in the information age.
  • A Cooler Crew comprised of Becca Cruger and Austin Mack attended the UND Career Fair to inform students about internship opportunities at the EDC and hand out Greater Grand Forks: Way Cooler Than You Think! swag.

  • Grand Sky celebrated five years of operation this month. The innovative investment was the first UAS-specific business and aviation park in the nation when it opened in 2015. Grand Forks Herald story
  • TruWeather Solutions, a UAS company, has recently planted a flag at the Center for Innovation. TruWeather works to drive down weather uncertainty using micro data and a unique weather risk management framework.
