GRAND FORKS, N.D. – The Grand Forks Region Economic Development Corporation (EDC) is pleased to announce that Howard Brockhouse has joined its staff as Business Development Manager. Brockhouse will develop and implement strategies to support primary sector business recruitment and expansion in Grand Forks County, working with community leaders to attract new businesses and foster an environment that supports existing businesses in the region.

“Being present is the first step, and it’s something I truly enjoy — you’ll see me around town,” said Brockhouse. “I’m passionate about connecting people and organizations with the resources they need to accomplish their goals, and I’m excited to bring that same approach to businesses across the Grand Forks region.”

Brockhouse brings more than 30 years of experience in business development, management, training, and project management to the EDC. He comes to the EDC from Northland Community and Technical College and National Center for Autonomous Technologies (NCAT), where he served as Director of Manufacturing & Training, working with organizations on customized training, customer service, and quality initiatives. At NCAT, he served as a project manager, serving as the point person for organizing DroneZone, Trusted Operator drone training, and the Composite Bootcamp.

“We are excited to welcome Howard to the EDC team,” said Keith Lund, EDC President & CEO. “His three decades of experience in business development, training, and project management, combined with his deep connections across the region, make him a great fit for this role. We look forward to the impact he will have supporting business growth in Grand Forks County.”

Brockhouse holds an associate degree from Northland Community and Technical College and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management. Outside of work, Brockhouse is active in his church, a local community club, and the Rotary Club, and looks forward to continuing his involvement with the Grand Forks community.
